Constitutional Core

The Constitutional Core is the shared behaviour every Chainplug ecosystem product inherits. It is not a design system and not a component library — it is the set of guarantees a person can rely on regardless of which surface they are standing on.

What every ecosystem product inherits

Every product inherits the same foundational behaviours: evidence and provenance are exposed rather than implied; uncertainty is declared rather than smoothed over; the boundary of professional responsibility is stated wherever a conclusion is presented; language, consent and preference are honoured consistently; and a move from one property to another is an acknowledged transition, never a silent redirect.

Inheritance is structural, not aspirational. These behaviours arrive with the product rather than being re-decided by whoever builds the next screen.

Why inheritance prevents divergence

Independent teams solving the same problem produce different answers — different disclosure thresholds, different framings of uncertainty, different treatment of an unverified source. Each answer may be reasonable; together they are incoherent, and incoherence is what erodes trust across an ecosystem.

Inheriting from a single Core removes the opportunity for divergence at its origin. A behaviour is defined once, in one place, and every surface expresses the same rule.

Why behaviour is shared

People do not experience an ecosystem as separate properties. They carry expectations from one surface to the next. If evidence is inspectable in one place and asserted in another, the weaker surface defines the credibility of all of them.

Sharing behaviour also concentrates responsibility. When a guarantee must improve, it improves once — and every product improves with it, under a recorded KRONOS pass.

Why consistency matters

In high-trust domains, consistency is not aesthetics. It is the evidence a person uses to decide whether a system can be relied on for something consequential. Predictable behaviour under pressure — a missing document, a contradictory source, an unanswered question — is what distinguishes infrastructure from an interface.
